Cuba: a 1949 Dodge Coronet hand painted in blue

This vintage Dodge is one of the many cars that are a part of Cuban love for American cars and take pride in "owning" them. These cars cannot be sold or exported out of Cuba, they are part of the Heritage cars status, and owned by the state, "sort of", they can be transferred in generation from family member to family member. The lack of original parts or any parts, Cuban ingenuity and inventiveness keep the cars running. This car was in Santiago de Cuba and is for hire for the passing tourists.
